My name is Paola Tizzoni and I live in the Newlands, Wellington area. I am in the position to do something I love with a passion, and that is working with animals. I have been doggy grooming while walking dogs during the week. I have just completed a course in Dog Psychology and Training and am now studying Dog Care.

I started as a Hairdresser, then spent many years in an office. After being made redundant, I decided to do something I loved. I had the time and know how to start thinking about working with animals.
​
I found a wonderful job as a dog groomer's assistant and absolutely loved it. How many of you can say that you enjoy going to work each morning. Well I can! I started grooming, house and pet sitting, dog walking and study.
​
Below is a picture of me and my darling dog Cujo who is in doggy heaven.

We all love our pets and they give us great comfort and joy. If you want your pet to be in its own environment, the routines they are used to in the comfort of their own home, Im that person. I will keep up those routines so your pet is less anxious or stressed when you return home.
​
Now I'm not just talking about dogs, cats or birds. I will look after most other pets. I have grown up with, guinea pigs, mice, budgies, a goat, cockatiels, cats and dogs, and have owned dogs myself.
​
I like to meet pets and owners prior to house and pet sitting and walking your dogs. I think it's extremely important for your pets to meet me and feel comfortable around me in their own environment. It is also an opportunity for the owners to meet me and see how I interact with their pets.
​
Not all animals take to everyone, so this meet and greet is essential for all concerned.
